Munich Security Conference: Russia invites Palestinian factions to Moscow
Russia has invited Palestinian factions to meet in Moscow on February 26, the Palestinian Authority (PA) prime minister says, adding that the PA was ready to engage with Hamas.

“We are ready to engage. If Hamas is not then that’s a different story. We need Palestinian unity,” he said, adding that to be part of that unity Hamas needed to meet certain prerequisites.
World leaders have urged Israel to allow much-needed humanitarian aid to enter Gaza.

Keir Giles - After 2007 Munich Security Conference Moscow’s Intent to Challenge West Became Clear.
After Putin’s Munich Security conference speech in 2007, Moscow’s intent to challenge the West became clearer. A question arose almost immediately: how far the country as a whole or its leader was at fault— whether the world had a Russia problem or a Putin problem. Since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine analysts have continued to debate the attitudes of ordinary Russians toward the war. Do a broad majority of Russians genuinely support the crimes and atrocities committed by their country’s armed forces? If not, why do they give every appearance of doing so, and acquiesce to be mobilised?

Security tightened in Moscow after Wagner Group 'coup' against Putin
Russia's anti-terrorist committee said on Saturday (June 24) that it was imposing a counter-terrorist regime in Moscow and the surrounding region amid an apparent mutiny by the Wagner mercenary group, the state news agency RIA reported.
Russian mercenary chief Yevgeny Prigozhin appeared to suggest he had sent an armed convoy on a 1,200-km (750-mile) charge towards Moscow on Saturday in an unlikely attempt to topple the military leadership.
Russian local officials said a military convoy was on the main motorway linking the southern part of European Russia, bordering Ukraine, with Moscow, and warned residents to avoid it.
